How do I sign out of Mobile IM on the Samsung Reality?

I just got this phone today and I'm pretty stoked about it but I can't figure out how to sign off of the IM programs. I read that I should go to Mobile IM and click on the purple menu icon and click on "Sign Off" but that on is seemingly incognito on my phone. Please help? :)
