IS THIS A GOOD IDEA FOR A NOVEL?

How old are you, because there was an amazing use of language. It is very interesting and I wanted to read more, but a suggestion would be to set it somewhere warm, like LA, or Miami. Pretend he just moved there from Alaska. Then meets a rich girl, because you don't ever really think a rich girl would live somewhere cold like Alaska.
