My thirteen year old daughter is having suicidal thoughts and other mental issues over it. What to do?
Hi, my name is Dana. I'm 35 years old and my husband is actually 33 and we have a 13 year old daughter who is afraid of getting old and one day. I didn't know that by telling her that I would be ruining her life. It's a fact of life. Anyways, she hasn't been cooperating in school; she won't eat; she won't hang out with her friends or do anything. She's been having suicidal thoughts over this according to her teacher and it was like before I told her this like a month ago everything was fine. The thought of getting old freaks her out. Believe it or not! You will wake up one day at about 60 or so and see your face covered in millions of wrinkles. You'll be balding and it will be hard for you to walk. The young attractive people will call you an old geaser. You will experience lot's of bodily problems and have illnesses and you and your hair will be gray. Look at your hands they will be covered in wrinkles one day. This is all a fact of life and something everyone needs to accept without freaking out about it. What should I do about my daughter?
