Advice on bulimia and friendships?

it's hard to understand bulimia when you don't have it. the majority of the public sees it as something to hide and be ashamed of. it is a disease. you don't seem to be ashamed of it, but it isn't necessarily something you should embrace. while it IS a decision you make...usually in reaction to life...you can't expect your friends to embrace it. the understanding they lack is something you need to dig deep down to find. know that if they are true friends they are worried about your health and want to help. while there tactics may not be completely right, their hearts are probably in the right place. being open with them can be good but you don't necessarily need to be comfortable enough with the topic to binge and purge in front of them. talk to your therapist if you want. if that doesn't work, find someone else you can talk to. good luck.
